Participants in this Trainer Course learn Leave No Trace skills and ethics as well as techniques for effectively sharing these low impact practices. Research has shown that this course significantly improves participant knowledge and understanding of how Leave No Trace protects the outdoor places we love. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Leave No Trace Trainer Certificate from the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have trained over 200 new Leave No Trace Trainers through our virtual format. We are happy to continue to offer this course in the virtual format through the 2021 calendar year.

Friday, December 10, Saturday December 11, and Sunday December 12; 5pm-8pm MT each evening

While this course is typically an in-person offering over 2 days, this course will be completely digital. The good news is, this cuts down on expenses for the course, meaning we can offer it at the lower price point of $80 (or $70 if you are a veteran, senior, or high school/college student). Because of the abbreviated nature of the in-person portion of this course, students will be sent out a homework packet that must be completed prior to the date of the first in-person meeting. The in-person portion of this course will take place online via Zoom, so each participant must have access to a computer, reliable Internet access, webcam, and microphone to participate, and must be able to attend all three Zoom meetings. These Zoom meetings will take place on Friday, December 10, Saturday, December 11, and Sunday, December 12 from 5pm-8pm Mountain Daylight Time each evening.
