Participants in this Trainer Course learn Leave No Trace skills and ethics as well as techniques for effectively sharing these low impact practices. Research has shown that this course significantly improves participant knowledge and understanding of how Leave No Trace protects the outdoor places we love. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Leave No Trace Trainer Certificate from the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics.

Stokes Nature Center
5pm, Friday, September 24 - 7pm, Saturday, September 25
We are excited to offer this in-person Leave No Trace Trainer Course in partnership with Stokes Nature Center. This overnight course will include 18 hours of Leave No Trace instruction, which will include opportunities for participants to develop their outdoor ethical system, practice Leave No Trace, learn and discuss learning styles and teaching methods, and practice teaching a Leave No Trace Principle. Registrants will receive a physical Leave No Trace Trainer Packet on the first evening of course. Participants are required to bring all camping equipment, clothing, camp kitchen equipment, and food. Access to potable water will be provided on site. If needed, participants can rent any necessary camping or cooking gear from us. A packing list will be sent out two weeks before the course. This course is $90 for the general public, and $85 for active duty military, veterans, seniors, and current high school and college students.
